Your Dog Deserves Better Than a Stranger With an App

When it comes to trusting someone with your four-legged best friend, do you really want to rely on a gig app?

Someone who “loves dogs.” (Who doesn’t love dogs?

Someone who might have walked a few of their friends’ or family members’ dogs.

Someone who might have had some training.

Someone who doesn’t know your pup’s quirks, and could be different every time?

We didn’t think so.

We’re Nature Calls Dog Walking & Hiking, and we’re not just another name in your contact list—we’re your dog’s second family, caretaker, and trail buddy. When you compare us to Rover, Wag or some other dog gig app, well… let’s just say we leave the competition in the dust.

Here’s why we’re the better choice—for you and your dog:

We’re Dedicated Professionals, Not a Side Hustle

Our team is trained, experienced, and basically obsessed with dogs. We’re not someone who picked up dog walking to make a quick buck on evenings and weekends. We’ve got backgrounds in vet med, animal behavior, and professional pet care—and it shows in everything we do.

Our owner, a former Certified Veterinary Technician, has been working with dogs since 1998!!! (Yes, that’s almost 30 years of experience.) She takes training our Team Members VERY seriously.

We have experienced pet sitters, dog walkers, animal shelter staff, and doggie daycare managers on our team. Together, our Team Members have over 60 years of experience working with pets!

Our Team Members undergo reference checks, a full background and driving check, are Pet CPR/First Aid Certified, and receive over 30 hours of training upon hire. They also receive ongoing training in pet care, customer service and disease prevention.

With us, your pet isn’t just getting a walk. They’re getting an enriching, safe, tail-wagging experience with people who know what they’re doing.

Adventures, Not Just Bathroom Breaks

Wag and Rover walks? Quick strolls around the block.

Our services? We’re talking full-on adventures

Think woods, fields, rivers, trails—nature-filled outings that work your dog’s brain and body. We specialize in group hikes, off-leash fun (when appropriate), and sniffaris designed for maximum joy.

Your dog will come home tired, happy, and dreaming of squirrels.

Real Relationships (With You and Your Dog)

When you book with us, you’re not matched with a random stranger.

You get consistency. You get updates with stories, photos, and details that prove we know your pup. We’ll tell you if we noticed some stiffness in their hips, if they made a new buddy, or if they were especially proud of that stick they carried for half the hike.

We build bonds that go beyond “just a walk.” And we’re always here when you need us—not just when the app says someone’s available.

Local, Small, and Seriously Passionate

We’re your neighbors, your community. Supporting us means supporting a small, local business that gives back to our area, provides jobs in our community, cares about every pup like they’re our own, and doesn’t funnel your money into a faceless tech company.

We’re the folks who remember your dog’s birthday, who go the extra mile (literally), and who pick up the phone when you call.

Safety Is Always First

Our gear is top-notch. Our vehicles are set up for safe transport. Our hikes are managed by trained handlers who know canine body language, group dynamics, and how to keep things fun and under control.

We don’t leave your dog’s well-being up to chance—or to someone who thought this would be “fun to try” or a great way to make “extra money on the side.”

More Than a Walk—It’s a Lifestyle

We offer enrichment walks, solo adventures, buddy hikes, Adventure Camp (yes, camp!), pet taxi rides, and even overnight care.

It’s not just services—it’s a full-on dog lifestyle brand. Your pup gets a customized experience, tailored to their personality, energy level, and social skills.

Because one-size-fits-all? That’s for socks. Not for your irreplaceable family members.

Bottom line?

Wag and Rover may offer convenience. But we offer connection, quality, and the kind of outdoor joy your dog dreams about when they twitch in their sleep.

So go ahead—ditch the apps. Join the pack.

Let’s hit the trail together. 🐾🌲

Want to learn more or book your first adventure? Reach out—we’d love to meet you and your trail-loving pup!
