Dog walking duties include:
- Drive to their home
- Take them for a walk around the block or throw their favorite ball around the yard
- Refill their water bowl, give them a treat, and rub their bellies!
- Send their parents a detailed message including pictures with a description of everything you did during your visit
- Some dogs may need transportation in your vehicle
Pet sitting duties include:
- All dog walking duties plus:
- Caring for cats, rabbits, birds, and other small animals
- Keeping the home clean and comfortable for the pets including washing bowls, and cleaning pet messes
- Bringing in mail, watering plants
- Feeding, watering, and medicating pets
- Scooping cat litter
- Pet Sitting visits range throughout the day in the following windows:
- 7-9 am
- 11-1 pm
- 4-6 pm
- 8-10 pm
- Overnights (9pm-7am)
- Visits may not be consecutive; you may have a break between blocks of visits
- Visits are scheduled within visit windows so there is a bit of flexibility with start times for each visit
What we are looking for in our Team Members:
- 1+ year of professional pet care experience (kennel, daycare, pet sitting, veterinary, etc.) preferred, but we will consider the right candidate that has owned a dog for at least 5 years
- Willing to make a 6 month commitment to our company, and able to work year-round
- Enthusiastic, caring, compassionate, and willing to go the extra mile to keep our Clients happy and treat their pets like family
- Detail-oriented, and willing to follow all Client instructions and preferences regarding their pet
- You must live in Rollinsford, Dover, or Somersworth
- You must have a valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and insurance for your vehicle
- Excellent communication skills and be responsive to messages from Clients and other staff
- You must have a smartphone (Apple or Android) with GPS, the ability to take pictures, get text/email, and download/learn to use our app (Time to Pet) and Discord
- You must be comfortable walking outdoors in all types of weather
- You must be willing to handle dogs of all breeds/sizes
Potential challenges (Hey, they're dogs!):
- You will get slobbery and hairy 🙂
- You may have to clean up unpleasant pet messes such as muddy dogs, vomit, diarrhea, chewed up couch cushions, etc
- Dogs need to get outside to potty every day, including days with rain, ice/snow, sleet, and hail so you will be outside in less-than-ideal weather (although we limit outdoor time in inclement weather)
- Although rare, you may encounter an emergency situation that could require transportation of the pet to an emergency veterinarian
- You may need to remove ticks from pets

Compensation is $15-22 per hour including:
- Flate rate paid for each visit
- Mileage reimbursement (taxes are not taken out of this portion)
- 100% Client Tips
- Extra pay on Holidays and night/weekend walks
- Daily stipend for answering messages
- Paid online training and Pet First Aid/CPR certification
- Workman’s Compensation Insurance
- We provide all necessary supplies for use during visits
Benefits include:
- Yearly allowance for CE
- Bonuses for referring new clients or employees
A pay increase will be given after 90 days, or sooner if your online training and CPR certification are completed earlier.
