Nature Calls Dog Walking & Hiking is growing!

Our Company offers fun, fulfilling work and flexible hours. Make extra income and meet furry new friends, while getting exercise and spending your day outside in nature.

Our jobs are perfect for college students, retired professionals, or people looking to supplement their income. It’s a great way for those pursuing a career in the pet industry to get hands-on experience with pets.

The dogs need you to:

  • Drive to their home
  • Take them for a walk around the block or throw their favorite ball around the yard
  • Refill their water bowl, give them a treat, and rub their bellies!
  • Send their parents a detailed message including pictures with a description of everything you did during your visit
  • Some dogs may need transportation in your vehicle

When the dogs need you:

  • Visits are scheduled between 10am-3pm, Monday-Friday
  • This will start as a very part-time position. You will start with 3-6 visits per day (about 3-4 hours) and your schedule will fill up as new clients sign on with our company
  • Visits may not be consecutive; you may have a break between blocks of visits
    • Visits are scheduled within visit windows so there is a bit of flexibility with start times for each visit

What we are looking for in our Dog Walkers:

  • 1+ year of professional pet care experience (kennel, daycare, pet sitting, veterinary, etc.) preferred, but we will consider the right candidate that has owned a dog for at least 5 years
  • Willing to make a 6 month commitment to our company, and able to work year-round
  • Enthusiastic, caring, compassionate, and willing to go the extra mile to keep our Clients happy and treat their pets like family
  • Detail-oriented, and willing to follow all Client instructions and preferences regarding their pet
  • You must live in Rollinsford, Dover, or Somersworth
  • You must have a valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and insurance for your vehicle
  • Excellent communication skills and be responsive to messages from Clients and other staff
  • You must have a smartphone (Apple or Android) with GPS, the ability to take pictures, get text/email, and download/learn to use our app (Time to Pet) and Discord
  • You must be comfortable walking outdoors in all types of weather
  • You must be willing to handle dogs of all breeds/sizes

Potential challenges (Hey, they're dogs!):

  • You will get slobbery and hairy 🙂
  • You may have to clean up unpleasant pet messes such as muddy dogs, vomit, diarrhea, chewed up couch cushions, etc
  • Dogs need to get outside to potty every day, including days with rain, ice/snow, sleet, and hail so you will be outside in less-than-ideal weather (although we limit outdoor time in inclement weather)
  • Although rare, you may encounter an emergency situation that could require transportation of the pet to an emergency veterinarian
  • You may need to remove ticks from pets

Benefits of working with us:

  • Room for advancement
  • More than just an employee, you will be part of a family
